Mentor coaching has been one of the most important influences on my own development as a coach. Personalized attention, honest feedback, and a clear understanding of both strengths and development opportunities can accelerate the process of finding your own style of coaching. That is what I hope to bring out in you: Your own style of coaching.

The ICF Core Competencies are sometimes treated as a restrictive framework. I see them very differently. To me, they create a foundation for creativity, experimentation, and greater awareness of options as a coach. I align my feedback closely with the ICF Core Competencies and the appropriate evaluation system for your credential level. I have a reputation for knowing these frameworks exceptionally well, including most of them from memory than is probably healthy. I use that knowledge to help make the standards practical, understandable, and useful.

Above all, I want you to laugh and learn through your recordings. Working with humans is fascinating precisely because coaching conversations rarely unfold exactly as expected. We will explore those unexpected moments together: what you wanted to say or do but held back, where you might have engaged the client in a more creative or out-of-the-box way, how you can strengthen coaching skills that are more challenging for you, and whatever else emerges in service of your learning.

My feedback is direct, specific, and intended to be useful. You will know what you did well, what you can continue developing, and what you can actually do to improve. Rather than simply identifying what could have been different, we will explore clear, tangible ways to practice so that new skills become increasingly natural and increasingly your own.

I have successfully provided ICF Core Competency feedback on recordings in French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, Chinese, and other languages. I encourage you to coach and record in the language that is most natural for you.
